Easier viewing of highlights in canvas layout

I would like an easier way of viewing or listening to a highlight while remaining in the canvas layout. The way of doing it now - double clicking a highlight to go to the data - is cumbersome AND more often than not leads to the wrong time stamp. I would like to:
- Play the video of a single highlight right in the canvas
- Play all the videos in a cluster. This is most easily done today by creating an insight out of them, but that too is cumbersome and leads to way to many "bad" insights.

Hiya Viktor Jacobs, thanks for this post! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific features or functionalities would make viewing highlights in the canvas layout easier for you?
- Can you describe any specific challenges or frustrations you face with the current method of viewing highlights?
- How frequently do you use the canvas layout for viewing highlights, and in what context?

Can't say that I've fleshed it out in detail, but I'll give it a go. But probably more experienced Dovetail users than me can add valuable insights and details.
- The ability to click a highlight on the canvas and pop up a video player for that specific highlight. Maybe you "fold out" the text highlight and show a video player next to the text? Also, the video should of course be playing the highlight, but if it would be possible to go further back or beyond the highlight itself in the video, that would probably enable getting some context for the highlight in certain instances.
- When sorting through highlights in a canvas, I very often feel the need to not only read the text but also listen to the person saying it. To get the tone of voice, maybe context or mannerisms. This is a hassle today since i need to double click, open up the whole interview and (more often than not) get taken to the incorrect time stamp for the highligt i wanted. This is even more of a challenge when wanting to get the general gist of a cluster of highlights. Being able to listen back to them all together would help alot.
- I would say the canvas layout is my preferred and main way of analyzing research. I use it to go from individual highlights to clustered and distilled results, and finally to actual insights with analysis added to them. In all these steps, being able to not only read highlights but actually play them back is essential.
