Ability to detach pop out video player within a note
D
Deo Cayanan
It would be helpful if I could detach the video and move it to a separate window. I have multiple monitors and would like to be able to review the transcript while watching the video in full-screen view on a different screen. The current setup, where the video is displayed at the bottom of the screen, is either too small to see what's happening or takes up too much space on the notes screen when enlarged.

Yes, I want this. It's hard to watch a usability test and see the unspoken hesitation of the user because it's too hard to see.

Make the pop-out window of the video movable across the screen.

It's very annoying that the pop-out view of the video in a note only stays in the bottom right of the screen and you can't move it to other parts of the window/screen. This makes it really difficult to view or edit comments in the right-side panel or enter in fields. I have to x out my pop-out (which I don't want to do) or go to another page and re-enter information. It should all be seamless in one view.

Hey Sneha Tharayil, thanks for your feedback! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more details about the specific tasks you are trying to accomplish while the video pop-out is open?
- Are there specific areas on the screen where you would prefer to move the pop-out window?
- How often do you use the pop-out video feature during your workflow?

I need to be able to view the video in a lager, read the transcript and tag the transcript. It's not that helpful when the video becomes a lot smaller because often people are sharing their screens and I need to be able to see it.

Hey Karla Lukic, thanks for your feedback! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more details on the current size of the video and how much larger you would like it to be?
- Could you clarify what you mean by 'tagging the transcript'? What functionality are you envisioning?
- Are there specific parts of the screen that you need to see more clearly when people are sharing their screens?

I’m finding it challenging to resize the uploaded video to the desired size without going into full-screen mode. Once I scroll past the video and into the transcribed text, I can resize the screen, but only to a limited extent. While watching the video and tagging the transcribed text simultaneously, the video becomes difficult to read when resized to its largest, forcing me to size it back down.
Additionally, when sharing my screen, I often need to take clear screenshots, which isn’t always possible with the current setup.
Here are some suggestions that might improve the experience:
- Allow users to resize the video to any size they need without going into full-screen mode.
- Make it easier to locate my current position in the transcription without having to search for the highlighted word.
- Consider having the video play on the right side of the screen and the transcription on the left, with the transcription auto-scrolling as the video plays. It would be helpful if I could resize the video and transcription independently, making one larger or smaller as needed.

The preview video hides the side pane

When i select a tagged passage and the tag is highlighted in the side pane, it's always behind the floating video preview. It's really annoying.
Maybe make the side pane start above the video ? or make the video part of the side pane?

Larger video player when highlighting transcript
A
Amy Oetting
It would be great to have a larger video feed when I'm highlighting my transcripts. For usability testing sessions, the mini-player is not big enough to see what the user is doing (even when expanded to its full size), so I have to go full screen to view what the user is doing, close it, remember what my observation is to type it, open the video again, etc. Having a larger video would enable me to play the video while also making notes of my observations, streamlining this process. Thanks!

Hey Amy Oetting, thanks for your feedback! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more details on the ideal size of the video player that would be most helpful for your work?
- Are there specific features or actions in the video that you often find difficult to see in the current video player size?
- Would you find it helpful if the video player could be resized according to your preference?

Improving Video Interaction: Need for Flexible Viewing Options and Note-Taking Efficiency

Enable the video to open in a new tab or allow it to be expanded and moved freely. Currently, it's confined to a small fixed window in the bottom right or switches to full view, obscuring my notes and preventing me from tagging items.
To view the video alongside the note, I currently need to open two separate sessions, and it's hard to keep them in sync.
